This workshop is an open call with the purpose of inviting new members into the Golden Brown Girls Collective and collaboratively producing new episodes of the Golden Brown Girls web series.The provocation will take the form of viewing and discussion, which will be followed by collaborative writing and filming.<\/p>\n

How do you see your future …. 30 years from now? What will your life be like professionally and socially? What would your ideal be? We are filming a web series in homage to the American sitcom “The Golden Girls”, except this is a futurist Golden Girls: we are imagining the future as women and professional creatives, sharing a house. We envision this project as a social machine: a method of imagining our future, a platform for our political concerns, and a way to create new social structures with likeminded individuals.<\/p>\n
