Riot Parents: Perspectives on feminist motherhood

Rarely any other social construct is as disputed as motherhood. People with a uterus are being politicized and confronted with both societal norms and expectations on motherhood. Not all people want children, nor can all people have children. But the ones that do should have the right to create parenthood at their own terms. In a society organized according to hetero- and cis-normative principles, interfering with this right, are norms and social constraints, which have to be questioned, challenged and disrupted. The panel “Riot Parents” seeks to emphasize alternative narratives of feminist parenthood.

Riot Parents: Perspektiven feministischer Elternschaft
