Living Tongue
A living tongue is a repertoire for expressions, constantly growing and changing. Tomoko is a retired Japanese woman in an exchange program in Argentina, with her living tongue she soaks up new words and gestures in a constant quest to communicate.
This film will be screened in our short film program Life Goes On.

Michelle studied Media and Communication at ORT Technical School, and Filmmaking at ENERC.
Her first shortfilm, Starting Point, was shot in Israel and premiered at Cosquin International Film Festival. Starting Point was further showcased at Santiago del Video and Maria Luisa Bemberg’s Women and film.
The Floating Bodies, her second shortfilm, premiered at Taratsa IFF, Greece. It was featured in the Official Selection for: Huelva Iberoamerican Film Festival, Equinox Festival in Colombia and LGBT Film Festival in Bilbao. The shortfilm was showcased at Brasil Mix IFF, Uruguay CineFem IFF and Madrid’s IFF, where it was awarded Best Shortfilm. Since 2018, The Floating Bodies is permanently showcased at Cine.Ar.
Michelle is currently working on her first feature film script: “A summer postcard with no sweat.”
